I have worked as Creative Director and Producer, Entertainment & Cultural Programmer and Event & Costume stylist for over ten years alongside teams all over London, the UK and internationally.
I have a passion for developing, curating and executing spectacular creative projects made using multi-disciplinary art forms both as a freelance producer and collaboratively through my hybrid theatre & events company, Shotgun Carousel.
The foundations of my work are built upon promoting the commercial viability of alternative performance, multi-disciplinary art forms and alternative talent; whilst retaining a collective mindset of support, community, inclusion and professional sustainability for performing artists of diverse disciplines, keeping joy, inclusivity & imagination at its core.
After forging the beginnings of my career in the London events, UK festivals and immersive industries, I am eager to connect with new teams, globally, for positions that will allow me to apply my unique hybrid experience and collective cross-industry networks to new projects and environments and create proactive pipelines between new venues and the wealth of entertainment and talent contacts that I’ve developed through my connections with the UK performance network.
I believe in developing a lasting legacy of positive working relationships between organisations, venues, talent and crew - centring positive working environments and intuitive care for colleagues and team mates in my working practices. I know that those working in the live event industry work better with extra support when it comes to their health and wellness, open conversations about time management, professional welfare and productivity sustainability are all key to my practice.
As the founder of Shotgun Carousel and the head of a team of remarkable creatives and producers, I've taken pride in offering the public unique magical experiences and escapism from the modern world, whilst creating stories and journeys that are accessible, inclusive, and diverse.
If you can dream it, we’ll create it!
The projects I have had the privilege to create, both as an individual & with Shotgun Carousel, have ranged from the curation of private events for international high end clients, corporate and commercial brand activations, immersive dining experiences, underground cabaret and club nights to extraordinary theatrical promenade pieces.
Other roles I've enjoyed, include founding the first Head of Late Night Programming role at VAULT Festival in 2018, curating the UK’s largest arts festival’s vibrant night life programme for both the 2019 and 2020 Festivals.
If you connect with my work I’d love to hear from you. Don’t hesitate to get in touch to chat about projects, potential collaborations or if you are just starting out and want to pick my brains about creative processes, let's go for a cup of tea!
Laura
